Okay. So, I called Jim Wolf and this is what one of the sale guys named Ben said:
I can buy an SE-R ECU from them for like $500, but it will cost an additional $599 to get it reprogrammed for a GA16.
So, I asked whats a cheaper way?
Ben then said, hehe, I made a rhyme, I could go out and buy a used SE-R ECU for like 200 to 300 dollars used then send it to them to have it reprogrammed for 599 dollars.
So, either way, it's still up the ass expensive to upgrade the ECU for my car. And just to let you know, that, when I say they upgrade the ECU they really upgrade the core of the ECU, so I guess it means the same thing. So, I think im just going to buy a used ECU made for my car instead of the Jim Wolf.
If I had an '91 to '94 SE-R Sentra or a '95 GA16DE engine and up, I would of definitly sent my ECU or core to have it reprogrammed.
I guess us '91 to '94 GA16 owners are kind of out of luck on the Jim Wolf ECU as far as paying for the ECU and reprogramming it.
But, I don't care. My Sentra is just for point A to point B trips and not performance. That's what my 240SX will be for when I get it. AS for my Sentra, one day i'll be rolling down the street with a NEO engine in it someday. I Keep Dreaming. Hope this helps everyone. PEACE OUT.
