300 hp Redtop SR20DET
I'm planning on gettint a 91 - 94 240SX and dropping the S13 Redtop SR20DET in it. I figured that I wanted a maximum of 300 hp. I think 300 hp is a perfect ratio for street racing, drifting, and daily driving.
Now, I know the S13 SR20DET comes stock with 205 hp, but I was wondering how I could get it up to 300 hp.
1) How much horses would an S13 SR20DET produce at 13 p.s.i. with the stock turbo? Is this safe boost pressure? What is the highest I could run safely with the stock turbo?
2) How would I achieve my goal of 300 horses with a SR20DET?
Would it be better to upgrade the SR20DET with it's stock turbo or would it be better to buy a different turbo to achieve 300 hp?
3) If I were to buy a better turbo, what are some recommendations?
4) Is the SR20DET's stock turbo a ball bearing turbo?
