the MSV IAVL procedure is inaccurate. a p0507 code 9x out of 10 means that the throttle chamber (throttle body) will need to be replaced. do not do not do not use CRC MAF cleaner or TB cleaner!!!! at least once a week a get a repair order in the shop that says something like "client states MIL illum....cleaned MAF/TB with CRC cleaner and re-oiled K&N filter and vehicle will not idle." not only does the "cleaner" break up the carbon built up in the TB, it breaks up the electrical contacts inside your electronic TB or your MAF and nissan will not except a TB that has been cleaned with anything other than the nissan fuel injector cleaner as a core, adding 160 dollars to the cost of your new TB. Plus if your car is under warranty, those parts will not be covered if the technician sees the residue/evidence of cleaner...

before you buy a new TB though try grabbing the wiring harness right at the passenger side corner of the valve cover (between the valve cover and intake manifold) and giving it a GENTLE shake while the car is idling...there is a 90 deg. bend in the harness right there and i've seen a bunch of cars with broken wires in that area, and that is where the TB wires are run from...if the idle drops or picks up while you are moving the harness you'll have to repair them but that should be way cheaper than replacing the TB.
