The answers to many questions

I haven't ever troubleshot one with a clutch, nor have have I seen many posts about them; however, use the link below (free) for the actual repair manual for the 95-99 car. (You must have some version of Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat installed)

http://members.dslextreme.com/users/...xima%20ESM.pdf

(Don't highlight and copy the link. It is shown shortened on the page.)

The link above is the main link to the directory of a manual with several different parts. It will show you what you need to troubleshoot the problem and it will definitely give you all of the locations you were after. I would download the pdf files in case they site ever drops or they get pulled from some other reason. The link necessary to download the files individually is:

Index of /users/maxima/esm

Download procedure for the noncomputer gurus:

1. Create a folder on your desktop titled Maxima Manuals (right-click on your desktop, select new, select folder, name it)

2. Open the following link: Index of /users/maxima/esm

3. Right-Click on "1995-1999 Nissan Max..>", and select "Save Target As...",

4. In the window that pops up, use the "Save In" pull-down bar at the top of the box and select the directory you created on your desktop.

5. Select the "Save" button in the lower right hand box.

6. Repeat step 3 for each of the links below "1995-1999 Nissan Max..>" and save all of the files to the same desktop folder.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
DO NOT RENAME THE FILES!
DOWNLOAD EVERY FILE!
You do not need to download the "Parent Directory" link.

Once you've downloaded all of the files, open the folder and doubleclick "1995-1999 Nissan Max..>". This will open up the manual.

Good luck! Please post your findings to keep this forum going! For the record, I now have about 140K on my Maxima and it is still running like a top.
