Near as I recall, there are only 2 drivers in the ECU anyway, one for each bank of injectors. When engine rpm passes 3000, the ECU reverts to batch fire, which fires all the injectors on each cylinders intake phase..... I know it was this way in the 85-86 ECUs, I don't think the 88s were any different. If they are then nevermind, since my experience is with the early models only. If this is the case, I don't think the addition of a couple more injectors is going to make much difference. I'm assuming you are going to use a TB injector plate.
