stock BOV's
need some tech advice. here's my delema, i have a SR20det blackj top motor with the
v-tech timing(slanted coil pack cover), and i have a funny feeling my BOV is messed up.
when i first got this car i had noticed that the return line that comes from the BOV and goes back into the intake after that mass air sensor ( in turn makes it a closed system, no open atmosphere venting) was not hooked up, strange. upon working on the motor abit longer i noticed that if i disconnected it (open to atmosphere) idle was fine, give it some gas and it rand like crap, seemed like ti was running to rich. I consoled a few freinds that have a sr2det and i got a few "huh" and "dunno". if i hate off the hose at idle and rock that throttle body i can feel a small amount of air from the exit port, this i why i think it may be on it's way out but i could be wrong. and i say this ony because i have only seen that aftermarket BOV's such as that HKS SSBOV and some others, what really stumps me is, granted most of my friends have a intercooler system, i don't see why the princable would not be the same as in my case. i still have that stock intercooler which is just the smalller version of the ones being sold aftermarket. If some one have has any ideas, needs more info or tell me i'm seeing things, ill be watching the thread
