your vent control valve is clogged with carbon. clean it out with brake clean and compressed air and reset ecu. it takes a long drive and then a cool down of 2 hours before the computer re checks the evap system. That is when you will know if you have to replace the sensor or not. Take the sensor off. apply 12vdc to one side of the connector and ground the other one. this will open the valve. you should be able to blow though the port.
