Bad Gas Mileage

I HAVE searched through threads but want an answer more definative to my engine. To start off, I have a 1992 GA16DE B-13 XE. I have read before that this car is suppose to have a 13 gallon tank. I have never once got the gas level below 10 gallons. This is because according to my gas gauge, I get low at 9 gallons and really dont want to venture to test it otherwise(I dont have a gauge light, the bar reaches the E). Is anyone aware of whether or not these models come in 10 gallons? Ok, now for the gas mileage. I get around 200-220 miles to the tank, giving me about 20-23 mpg. Ill be the first to admit that I dont drive like my grandma, but this is just ridiculous. Ive read before that bad O2 sensors and a misfiring chamber can cause this drastic of a mpg drop. I tried to take my O2 sensor off today but just didnt have the right equipment aviable to get the sucker off, plus the fan shroud was in the way and didnt have the time to mess with all that stuff. Now for the misfiring. How would I tell this is the problem, I figure I would hear a less distinctive noise from the engine but it sounds pretty "full" to me. Also, not that I mention engine noise, when I do push my throttle wide open, the engine sounds a little fluidy. Sounds like the engine could be running a little rich to me.
