The thing I like about the Access Roll Up...and this may be true of others....that once you close it, slide the lock over and lock your tailgate, unless someone wants to slice through it with a knife, it is secure. My vehicle spends its time outdoors also. I believe out of sight, out of mind. My other vehicle is a convertible....I feel its the same situation....if someone wants to get in they can slice through the softtop. As a matter of fact, if someone wants to get in to just about anything....they will. Its all a matter of how badly, how hard it is and how much damage they will inflict. My $.02.
