I dont have a 04-06 frontier, but I do have an '03. It has a BFG long terrain tire on it, not the best but handles well in the rain and snow. not much of a mudding tire though.
The tread pattern is not that aggressive as shown:
But the are suppossed to last a long time and seem to do alright for me.
