i have never "rebuilt" an intank pump,so dont know about the crimp. you can buy aftermarket pumps that mount to the framerail that are adjustable for psi, but that would be more expensive than using the correct part. i would recommend you just replace the pump, they do wear out you know. i wouldnt risk rebuilding my old one.
