I have a plug wire thats doing the same thing. I noticed one of the metal sleeves inside the connector on the wire had slid down almost out of the hole. I used a pen to shove it back in and i havent checked it since. I'm going to look at it today and see if its still sticking out.

If you replaced your wires however, i dont see how it could be the same thing, but who knows.
