Hey,
I been searching on Google for my truck's problem, but did not get any concrete information. I came across this forum and decided to post here... hopefully i will get some help here.
A couple days ago, we bought a 04 qx56 with 180000KM on it (I live in Canada), today when i tried moving it, it would not go into gear when cold. When it got warm, then it was working fine... moving through all the gears smoothly. Also, the Transmission Fluid Temperature Gauge shows no bars and the temperature stays cold. Fluid level is fine. My mechanic said, after a test drive, that it could be because its just cold here (-22C) and if the problem persists or gets worse, then bring it in and it could be some sensor going bad.
I am really scared that it could be a transmission problem . I dont have warranty on this vehicle and i just bought it. Please let me know what you think this could be.
Thanks
Thanks
