Hey guys I'm a new tech needing so e guidance lol...my 96 maxima is leaking water by the power steering side of the engine I removed the intake but I see nothing yet...in starting to think the block is cracked or a head gasket can anyone help guide me ?
First thing to do is pressurize the coolant system with a portable coolant tester to about 14 psi. You'll have to jack the front of the car up and look for the leak from underneath. With the system pressurized, you should be able to spot the leak more easily.
Hey thanks for the advice I did what you said borrowed a test kit found 2 more hoses with leaks I still get a leak coming from the left side of the engine by the power steering pump opposite the water pump...ill be taking off the timing cover power steering pump and checking again but it's starting to seem like a freeze plug or head gaske not 100%yet I'll post my findings here
I hope your issue would have been resolved now and for future assistance feel free to inform me
