Dont you ever wonder why they dont bring back cars like the 300zx, supra, 240sx, and mx6? Those cars might not be your favs, but how hard would it be for them to produced the latest model supras or soemthing for another year? I would imagine they would sell like hot cakes.

I can think of maybe lawsuits against toyota if the older supras devalue quickly. It would be costly to producea car for just one year even though the engineering and expirience is already there.

Anyone wonder the same thing?

It's all about supply/demand. If you remember, in the early 90's sport compact cars were a hot item. Hell, you had 2 different companies making the same cars! (i.e. Eclipse/Talon/Laser and 3000GT/Stealth). Then the dark days of the SUV came and sport compact cars vanished along w/ turbo charged cars. Nissan, Mits., Honda, etc. were all losing money producing sport compacts in the U.S. market and took aim at getting a share of the Explorer/Cherokee market. It went to the extreme of the land behemoths like the Excursion and whatnot. Luckly, things are turning around and you have cars like the Spec-V, Protege, S2000, RSX, etc. all becoming extremely popular. I'm sure in 5-10 years there will be some new auto trend. Enjoy it while you can. :)

Y'know I always wondered if when we eventually have non-polluting cars that run on hydrogen or fusion or whatever they eventually figure out, what will happen to the styling. If we don't have to worry about economy and aerodynamics so much anymore, and a new retro craze starts, will auto styling go backwards? Will people be driving around in electric Studebakers?

you mean like a new 300Z from the last year but just continue production as if it never stopped right?

well it's too expensive and the technology is out of date. plus demand would be low so they wouldn't setup the factory just to make like 1000 300z's that not a lot of ppl would by, and would cost like 100g's to offset the cost of production...
