Hi I'm new to this so I'm hoping I'm doing it right I have a 03 Nissan frontier the a/c blows cold air at idle and when I'm at 55 mph or lower but it seems when I drive the interstate and the rpms is higher it dont blow cold air I checked the Freon and it's good but I noticed a vibration when I have the a/c on only when the compressor kicks on so does that mean I need a new clutch or compressor or is there some sort of adjustment I've done some research but didn't see anybody else with the same problem I have I appreciate any help

Josh369, don't mind the children. Some have nothing better to do than check grammar and generally be, well, children.
As far as your AC, most likely a compressor that's crapping out. If you haven't messed with AC before, it would be a good idea to take it to a reputable shop as opening the system to replace parts requires some effort (and tools) to put it back together.
Best of luck

Yeah, I already posted that:
Josh - take the truck to a real auto AC shop - not a brake place that hangs out a sign. The dealer is not the best choice for this issue.

Sorry, Uteman1011: spelling is important, and important for computer searching. Punctuation helps readers understand. If I wanted to be "mean", I would have told him that he COULDN'T check "freon" in his 2003, as it does not have "freon" (DuPont's tradename for R-12, dichlorodifluoroethane), his 2003 has R134a, DuPont tradename "Suva").

Myself: I have service gauge set, vacuum pump, UV light and goggles, and electronic halogen detector (reacts o chlorine and fluorine in the refrigerant); AC work is not a slam dunk.

This wasn't directed at you Cusser. netxtown just had to act like a weenie and did nothing to address the OP's question. Just feeling a little defensive for the newb who in his very first post gets a snarky response. I'd rather people come here to stay a while and contribute than find ways to chase them off. That is all.

uteman - the very first line of help here is for the OP to be able to communicate clearly. It's one thing to hold an in-person conversation as you can hear the stops and starts - but we are dependent upon the written word. Go back and take a look at his description of the problem and try to find a point to start or stop any thought within it. What happens is the reader gets stuck with trying to decipher what words go with which sentences.

Look at your comment. It's clear and it is easy to understand your rational for foisting a label. If being a 'weenie' means calling somebody out because their communication sucks - then so be it.

This isn't a pissing contest. It's a group of folks trying to help others. And a couple of periods would have gone a long way to better relate his issue.

In your own words - minus the punctuation and sentence structure...
