I park my truck, 2005 Frontier, and leave. I return, put the key in the ignition and it will not turn. It's like the ignition wont read the chip in the key. I checked the fuses. Any suggestions?
Could be a bad ignition switch or a bad starter. Run a heavy jumper wire from the positive terminal of the battery and tap the other end to the starter positive terminal to see if the engine spins over. If it does spin over, test the starter solenoid by tapping the jumper wire to the small white wire on the solenoid.
Do you mean the engine won't turn when you turn the key, or they key won't turn in the ignition?
